L’Eurocodice 1 - Azioni sulle Strutture - Carichi della neve è stato convertito da norma sperimentale ENV in norma EN, a conclusione di un lavoro di revisione che ha recepito i commenti inviati al CEN in forma ufficiale da parte dei Paesi membri e che ha nel contempo tenuto conto degli importanti risultati ottenuti nell’ambito di una ricerca scientifica, finanziata dalla Commissione Europea DGIII - D3 e condotta da otto istituzioni europee.
Nel presente lavoro si illustrano i risultati salienti della ricerca per quello che riguarda il territorio italiano e si propone una mappa normativa del carico neve al suolo, alternativa a quella contenuta nelle nuove norme tecniche nazionali, recentemente aggiornate con il D.M. 14/9/2005.

SNOW LOAD ON BUILDINGS IN ITALY

The Eurocode 1 - Actions on structures - Snow loads has been converted from an ENV experimental standard into a EN regulation, following a review work that has assimilated the notes officially sent to the CEN by member countries, while taking into account the important results achieved within a scientific research work funded by the DGIII - D3 European Commission and carried out by eight European institutions.
This paper illustrates the main results of the research concerning the Italian territory, while proposing an alternative snow load standard to that included in the new national regulations, recently updated with the Ministerial Decree 14/9/2005.
